ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Over the next few days, the celestial setup will change rather suddenly. Recent aspects have probably done much to boost your confidence and awareness, as well as throwing in a few unexpected surprises. But important developments across the career and financial angles of your solar chart say that this is not a time to take for granted or to squander on trivialities. The risk is that you will feel a false sense of ease that will lure you away from the hard work that needs to be done in both the physical world and the sphere of negotiations and arrangements with people whom you consider your supporters and benefactors. Your work is plainly visible, and your reputation is riding on the sense of integrity you present, and demand from the world.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Sunday's full moon in your birth sign should stand as a reminder of just how much you have accomplished in recent months, and laced in will be a sobering message that you can't keep up this pace without stopping some time soon. Over the past year a new sense of commitment and responsibility to yourself has entered your awareness, and I have no doubt that you take this quite seriously. The most important thing about responsibility, for you, is taking it a little less seriously, at least for measured intervals that will help you remember who you are in the many aspects of being besides the person who always gets the job done. In short, remember to have fun, and not feel bad about it.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Somewhere back in your karmic files is a detail about how you tend to attract sexually repressed people, and it then becomes your job to get them, well, over the hump. And there are worse jobs you can have in this world. Lately, though, even the most dazed, confused and shutdown people in your vicinity have been awakening, or at least in my opinion they should be, and you're in a perfect position to provide an outlet for their newly discovered, if momentary, lapse of erotic denial. Cut these folks some slack. Ask them what they need, and what they want. They're complicated beings. Not that you are so simple, but at least you can see in black and white instead of a thousand shades of gray.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Look for good things to be coming your way from across oceans, from foreign lands, and from people with accents. And while we're on the subject of Jupiter and his devotees blessing you, people with educations, wider visions and those who know the difference between right and wrong will be the ones who make the coming week one that you will remember for a long time. As for anyone else who may enter the picture: now that you are more the object of desire than you're accustomed to being, you get to command a bit more respect. Set your terms, and make people play by their own rules. Everyone will be happier.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
In my reading of the charts, the astrology of the coming few days is just the kind that either a) will feel really good to you because it's such a luscious escape from the intensity and seriousness of this phase in your life, or b) represents a state of mind which makes you nervous because it's brimming with uncertainties and the sense that invisible forces and vague emotions are at play. However, if you focus on yourself and what you need to be happy, you're likely to discover that either it comes to you, or you're suddenly in a great position to negotiate exactly what you want, in part because you are so relaxed.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
If I had to give these days and weeks a theme, it would be, "Getting to the bottom of things." It might include enhanced awareness of some kind of genetic heritage you possess, or gaining psychological clarity about important emotional issues, or (especially) connecting with the earth in a way that is truly meaningful and enhances your sense of belonging on the planet. Traditionally, Virgos are raised to be highly conformist people who take care of the rest of us. Times are changing. This is a great chance to define your own purpose in a way that's likely to have some long-term potency.

LIBRA (Sep. 23-Oct. 22)
How you deal with anger at your parents in the coming weeks is an issue to watch. You may be one of the lucky few people who has no anger at your parents, in which case it might show up within some other kind of relationship, even one that seems totally fine on the outside. Check for subcurrents. Ask yourself how you really feel, and whether you have the space and time you need to be yourself without holding back. Assess your whole relationship to the past and the commitments you have made, and inquire carefully which of them you want to keep, which you want to amend, and which you want to dissolve entirely.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
The Sun's entry into Scorpio this week comes with a spectacular full moon in Taurus. This is one way of saying that the deck is stacked your way, and that you are poised to win as this truly important year of your life unfolds. At the same time, people are demanding clarity and high levels of performance from you, so if you can stay aware, you'll have extra opportunities to show your stuff, and to reap the rewards. As for clarity: It's all about your emotions. You will need to keep up with how you feel at all times, remembering that, though it runs contrary to your nature, you may feel a different way about every 22 minutes. It's okay.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21)
It is true that the visionary qualities of Sagittarius sometimes lack the immediate sense of what is important, of what is happening and what is necessary at this moment. But it's my feeling that presently, you're more tuned in than you may have ever been, more aware of the subtlties and necessities of this particular crossroads in history, and that your consciousness goes far beyond what you've picked up on so far. Do you want to know the truth? Just look for it. Do you want to find a way to a better place? Set your intentions and begin your quest. Do you want a few new ideas about what you are doing here? Just listen to yourself.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This is one week I wish I was a Capricorn, but then a love affair with a Capricorn would be fun, as would working around the clock on some important social project (free Mumia, anyone?). You have energy. You have charm and charisma. You have power. You're in one of your more disciplined moods, and one of your more sexy moods, and both luck and opportunity should be running high, which coincides nicely with your increased visibility thanks to El Sol venturing into mighty Scorpio. What is the catch? Be vigilant against self-doubt. Keep the phone numbers handy of three people who will tell you unabashedly how gorgeous, righteous and powerful you are -- and use them if necessary.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
With the Sun crossing the career angle of your solar chart, you might be feeling a great sense of ambition and desire for aspiration. Wouldn't it be nice if you knew exactly what it was you wanted to do with all that juice? Wouldn't it be great if you could pinpoint your exact mission in life, and then accept it, no questions asked, then get to work in your usual methodical way? But more to the point, wouldn't it be just awesomely dandy if those really awesome goals that take you beyond yourself and your limitations, and transport you far from this world's hypocritical rules, didn't intimidate the living shit out of you?

PISCES (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
You are on the move. Life is happening. Opportunity is all around you. If it's not, you're not paying attention, or you've allowed yourself to be distracted by your past struggles. A shakeup in the heavens scheduled to happen Friday through Sunday can only work for you, as long as you keep your options open, keep a clear head, and don't let a single day go by without checking phone messages or email. And while I'm dishing out advice, keep your financial priorities clear. If you conserve your cash, you will very likely see -- over the coming weeks -- just the right opportunity to do something really special with it.

For the Faithful
This weekend is an astrological carnival. The Sun moves into one of the hottest angles of the cosmos, Scorpio. That very day, there is a full moon. Planets are getting ready to change signs. At the same time, there is a fast but meaningful little grand cross that lights up in the sky, involving the Sun, the Moon, plus mystical Neptune and the champion negotiator, the asteroid Pallas Athene. So plot and scheme. Cook up your visions. Get out your people-watching glasses and your notebook. Get out the electric guitars and digital mixing boards. Uncap the paints and get ready to make a mess. Heck, take off your clothes and dance around. (Stargazers, the moon is full Oct. 24 at 5:02 pm EDT.)
