ARIES (March 21-April 19)
The check is in the mail and you are about to be recognized for some substantial contribution you've made. Ain't it grand. There are few experiences of mundane progress that could possibly match the ideals you aspire to now. And yet idealism is more or less incomprehensible in this world; there are so few examples around us of people thinking beyond the bounds of consensus reality, especially anyone who actually got anywhere doing it. I am telling you it's worth the effort now, and worth your best efforts now to strive for accomplishments far past your expectations and beyond what you reasonably believe is possible. You may be one of a handful of people who take this message seriously, and one of fewer still who are able to act on what is, no doubt, a very meaningful calling. Yet so much is possible.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
You have big dreams. Dreams are important in this world, which is so often obsessed with "practicality" and "necessity" when not bothered with glitz and glamour. And these days you may feel powerful urgings to make your seemingly unlikeliest ambitions real, or to plot and scheme ever-bigger plans for achievement. The key to your success, as I see it, will be accomplishing something you want, some one thing, no matter how humble. Dreams are soft and are subject to being blown around and dispersed by the energies of the world and all its boring affairs. But achievements, no matter how small, have durability. You can hold them in your hand, and then you can build on them. Small ones now count for a lot.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Stars for the week suggest paying attention to your sexual health. I don't just mean going for the standard medical examination, though if it's time to do that, or if you have the least reason to doubt you're in perfect health, it would be a good opportunity to put your mind at ease. There is, though, the other kind of sexual health, the one involving energetic balance in relationships. You may be inclined to give far more than you have, or to offer yourself in service and devotion even when you know you have plenty of unmet needs and unfulfilled desires. Denial of one's own pleasure and emotional necessities are just another form of repression this world does not need.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Stick to the principles of reason in all your dealings this week and you will have astonishing influence, particularly on projects involving long-term finance. Plans that have been in the works for some time appear to be ready to come to closure, though it may take a few more days and the holiday weekend may account for an additional delay. Don't be discouraged; patience, please. I suggest you adopt an inner understanding that anything really is possible, while outwardly maintaining the appearance of seeking what others view as practical. Then, gently and with the great sensitivity you are famous for, nudge people into exactly the position that you have figured out works best for you, for them and everyone else.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
We all suffer wounding as children, and not just of the "life is tough" variety. There are serious injuries of the psychic and emotional strain that shape consciousness and can lead us to harbor expectations of pain and struggle, which may then manifest as difficulties much later in life. There are physical injuries we suffer, and there are millions of survivors of childhood rape and incest walking the planet, and most who possess those bear a load of undeserved pain and guilt. Events this week seem designed to provide what may be rare insights into the nature of your childhood, and how this shapes your current existence. Healing is possible in this world, and for you, it now seems inevitable.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
Be prepared for a not-so-subtle revolution in what you think, and how you think. Information that you reveal to yourself has the power to change your mind and guide you to alter your values, and perhaps to redirect the course of your life. The secrets you keep from yourself only stand in the way of progress, and the world's many excuses for sublime dishonesty may all be a ruse for holding up the workings of fate, destiny or vital decisions. Current aspects or life circumstances may have the effect of serving like a truth serum, calling your attention to what is known and what is not known, and compelling you to act on the information. By the looks of your chart, they will be righteous actions.

LIBRA (Sep. 23-Oct. 22)
It seems no coincidence that for many of the signs, there is considerable planetary activity emphasizing risk, passion and creativity. You could say that a kind of rejuvenating energy is pouring through the current shape of the heavens, encouraging most who are listening to remember the desires and passions of younger years, and to live them for real. This comes not a day too soon, and in the sweet Libra dimension, the form this takes suggests basking in literature and music as if they were all that mattered. I highly suggest you take whole days of the holiday weekend, if possible, and swim in the music you adore, and soak up the visions of poets whose souls say so much to you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Following your anger will be the easiest way for you to escape from your sense of emotional confusion. And you may be a bit more lost than you think, for the tide of subtle psychic chaos has risen by the millimeter gradually over the past year or so. And though at times you've had the sense that things were getting better, and there has been evidence of improvement, every now and then you must notice that when you step out into your front yard, you are up to your knees in water. At this point, listening to your anger is the most dependable way for you to figure out what is really going on. You may not believe what it's telling you, but the chances are it's quite true.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21)
Set aside all confusion about whether you are closing one chapter of your life or opening another. The two are closely related, and while it may seem you are setting forth in creating awesome new definitions of yourself before you've fully resolved the past, there is no reason to fear, as far as I can tell. Nature will take its course. We don't always have the power to resolve the past, especially when it involves the trials and tribulations that other people are going through which we cannot really affect. But now you finally have the power to make conscious choices to go beyond your sense of guilt and injury about past experiences, and to take real steps forward.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
There was once a button that said, "Wearing buttons is not enough." These days, I don't think so many people would understand that. Who wears buttons? You could say that wearing labels is not enough. And you might find yourself saying just that, or some variation of it, because it's all too clear that the necessity for the people around you to demonstrate character, and to possess some kind of gift they share with the culture, are standards growing ever-more important to your life. And why not? You are a person with solid values, and an understanding of life that few have bothered to attain. It's healthy and necessary to be around others with a similar idea of integrity, especially if you want to get anything meaningful accomplished.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
There is an Aquarian taboo about putting yourself first. The world will never get into the Age of Aquarius if it doesn't learn the lesson of selflessness that is so natural to you, and yet you, however, will never get into living with gusto unless you start to be a bit less altruistic, and stop thinking that it's wrong to take care of yourself. Aspects as they unfold in the coming days and weeks will hopefully drive you to be more self-centered, but I assure you that it will be in ways that not only serve the greater good, but that also grant you freedom to be different, feel different and live with far fewer restrictions than you're accustomed to.

PISCES (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
While great changes are developing around your professional life, with important news likely to be coming in the next few days, be mindful that there are also irreversible changes happening in your relationships. Surely you have seen or learned something that has adjusted your sense of vision and your long-term plans. The landscape of your most personal reality is changing. The key now will be remembering this is happening, and allowing the changes to be fully integrated into the larger sense you have of your total life. In the past, haven't you often gone to one extreme or the other -- emphasizing either love or work, to the detriment of the other -- and wouldn't this be a fine moment for a life with room for both?

For the Faithful
For anyone with doubts about whether astrology is real, this week is a good one to test the theory. The Sun changed signs Monday, entering Sagittarius and initiating a cascade of changes. But after Mercury switches to direct motion on Thanksgiving day, we're likely to see a lot of information rain from the universe, and the results of many weeks of preparation are likely to come to fruition. Some intense secrets may be revealed. Thursday itself would not be a good day to get into overly complex discussions or make changes. And anything negotiated or agreed to before then will very likely need to be adjusted in the days and weeks after. So take your time, save your energy, think things over during the holiday weekend, and really listen to what people are saying. It could prove to be very helpful information.
