Obama, Aquarius and the Galactic Leapby Eric Francis

Aries (March 20-April 19)
How idealistic are your ideals? You are about to find out. You may discover that you've merely been dreaming all along; or you may decide you possess a vision that you simply must bring into the world even if it's the last thing you do. In a sense if you act on your dream, it will, rather, be the first thing you do. You're unlikely to do it alone: this is an idea that resonates with many people, though they may not be the ones you know today.

Taurus (April 19-May 20)
It looks like you're trying to make having fun into a technical exercise. I suggest you really go for it, and plan precisely the most exciting thing you could ever dream up, down to the last detail -- then dare yourself to do it. You may discover that it was less daring than you thought and at the same time a lot more fun than you were anticipating. You may also finally decide that there are certain things it's not necessary to plan in advance.

Gemini (May 20-June 21)
Open your eyes and you'll discover something new, unusual and truly beautiful about the place in which you live. In any community there are things we've walked past for years and not noticed; in this case, it may also turn out to be people. Therefore, pay attention to your environment. Travel by different routes, and walk when you can. Invite your friends to your home, and ask them to bring people you've never met.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Your financial situation may feel volatile, but if you maintain your focus you can take your life to a new level. This means height, and it also means depth. You're poised to learn what is a progressive, if challenging, lesson: how you feel about yourself has everything to do with how wealthy you are. Others respond to self-confidence and will reward you for it, but it is a profound influence to which you respond by embracing opportunities you would surely have missed otherwise.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23)
You value stability -- indeed it is one of the most clearly identifiable qualities of who you are. Therefore, don't take it personally that aspects this month are designed to help you rearrange how you view your life and your relationships, which may prompt you to decide that you really do need a change of pace. These are changes you'll discover were long overdue, and which will prove to be refreshing to you and the people you love. Longstanding relationships can begin anew on more equitable terms.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
Make sure you keep your fantasy life in a container. It can be a large container and it can have windows and a spout. But you need to know where it begins and ends, and pay attention to how fast you pour. The same could be said of your fears. The two are related, and both are verging on running away with your common sense. An unusual gathering of planets in your sign is granting you the feeling of being larger and more influential than you're accustomed to. Do you really like it? That remains to be seen.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23)
Who are your friends? You may want to judge on the basis of who takes care of you. It is true that your services are in demand, and that may give you the feeling of being appreciated. It is true that you value your own generosity -- it is one of your most tangible goals. In a greedy world, you know this is a rare virtue. Yet for the next few weeks, you know you need to take care of yourself, and invest more energy in your inner world. You don't need to stay home every night; but when you do, unplug the phone.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You seem determined to claim back your life, and it seems equally determined to claim you. Is it really possible to have a power struggle with yourself? Well, it is if you're a Scorpio. This particular episode is a grand time to give up your odd tendency to take on the roles of not one but both of your parents. You can toss the way they taught you to judge yourself in the recycling bin. You are free to feel real emotions, not artificially coloured and flavoured ones. I think you'll appreciate your newfound sense of freedom.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)
If you've been waiting a long time for something to happen, you might be missing what else is happening. There is no shortage of progress, yet you may lack the feeling of success. But this is like saying that you have not succeeded in attaining wealth until you've spent all the money you've saved up. Time doesn't work that way. Opportunities only exist in their moment, and this is quite a rare one as they come on this planet. You seem bogged in the details; they will take care of themselves.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
How far are you going to take this self-esteem crisis? You can go all the way, or you can follow a calling that is obvious, but which you appear to feel you don't deserve. I suggest you question the issue of deserving itself. Who set the standard? Is there some kind of Federal Deserve Board? If there is one, and if I get a seat on it, I will vote unanimously in favor of whatever it is you think you don't deserve but really want. And if it matters, a lot of planets are voting with me.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
You typically get so lost in your ideas that there's very little room for your true vision to come into focus. Events this month seem determined to help you clean your glasses, wash your windows and polish the handle on your brass door. Once everything is shined to perfection, you may decide that you were going in the right direction after all, so I suggest you take a pause before you make any radical changes or irreversible decisions.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
There is no room in your life for your fears. This is a tall order here on Planet Tremble, but you're a tall Fish. Others are less susceptible to the ill effects of anxiety than you are, therefore you have greater incentive to address the issue. I would propose that you're worried about things that have very little basis in reality, but this serves mainly to distract you from relationship opportunities that seem too good to be true. I don't know about too good, but I suggest they are pretty darned good.
