Friday’s Cancer Full Moon; Vesta-Nessus and healing; and horoscope schedule update

Today's mailing includes a look at Friday's Full Moon chart, as well as part two in my Vesta-Nessus series on making space for healing injuries to trust and intimacy.

Dear Friend and Reader:

Today’s edition of STARCAST looks at Friday’s Full Moon in Cancer, and takes a peep ahead at Mars stationing direct on Thursday, Jan. 12. You may find this in the My Account area of Planet Waves.

In the second half (divided by music) I continue my discussion of the healing space described by Vesta conjunct the centaur Nessus. In the next edition (probably Friday), I will take a close look at the chart for Mars stationing direct, and consider some of the possibilities there.

After finishing the 54,000 word + 12 hours of audio Inner Space readings (a 10-week nonstop effort), I am laying low on writing and editing. While I am focusing my thoughts, there will not be a Planet Waves FM this week, the program will resume a week from Friday. And I’m planning to be back with a 12-sign horoscope focused on Mars direct on Thursday, Jan. 12.

However, I do intend to keep you updated on the current astrology via short audios, in case anyone is interested. The first half of today’s podcast covers more routine matters of astrology, and the second half goes into the specific healing topic at hand.

About the Vesta-Nessus Series of Discussions

My intended audience is those who are recovering from sexual injuries, which I define more fully in the audio. Part one is here, orignated at the time of the Vesta-Nessus conjunction in late December. I am keeping this topic in the mainstream of my work to make sure that the material is accessible to those who may want to know about it.

When you see the words Vesta and/or Nessus, it’s part of the same thread.

Vesta defines space and purpose. It is the central organizing principle, and it also represents the boundaries around a specific topic.

Nessus, the third centaur, addresses matters of betrayal of trust, ambiguity and ambivalence of sexual desire and consent, and the diversity of legacy material related to the complex causes and effects that led to where we are today. Where sexuality turns to power, Nessus is very likely in the picture.

Cyclical Matters of Karma

In all things, Nessus represents cyclical matters of karma: the ongoing results of experiences and actions taken, often as passed from relationship to relationship. If you keep having similar events in a succession of enounters with people, Nessus may hold some clues what that is about.

These topics come up in Friday’s Full Moon chart, as they did in the first-quarter chart. The Full Moon is also conjunct the Chiron-like centaur Echelus, so I have done some investigation into that body to get a sense of what’s happening under the surface of the Full Moon. Both charts are below.

Thank you for tuning in. Questions may go in the comments or be sent to me confidentially at efc@chironreturn.org.

With love,

Eric
