ARIES (March 21-April 19)
You're a separate person from your partner or the person you desire. It's true that in "ultimate reality" we're all one within God, but we're also here on the Earth this week and this lifetime having experiences of one another as sovereign Gods and Goddesses with the ability to choose, and the privilege of living with what we decide. And we must respect the choices of the people around us, and hold them to the rather basic Cardinal law of the universe that they must live with ours. For the coming days, try to hold open that sacred space of individuality between yourself and your beloved. Ask honest questions. Speak what you mean.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
You may now find yourself confronted with something or someone you thought was over. Yet who or whatever it was ain't as bad or as scary as you may think. If this is a situation involving some kind of a second chance in love, I would propose that, unless whatever happened in the past was an authentic and intentional betrayal of your emotional trust (it's quite unwise to give these folks a second chance) that someone close to you has experienced so much in recent months that a second chance might not just be a wise thing to make available; you may really like the results, for they'll be born of something sexy and deep and real called experience.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
There was once a Gemini party in my mountain community, to which all the Gems-and-friends were invited. The atmosphere was like no other party I've ever been to. Peoples' ideas were mixing like the air we were all breathing. Conversations were rolling and flowing and just easing along. And there was this wavelength of passion in the air that was so subtle, but so clear it was almost impossible to miss. At the peak of this all, one of the astrologer women from the neighborhood said to me, "See? This is Gemini. This is what happens when you put a lot of them together." This weekend is one major Gemini party on a cosmic scale.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
In spiritual teachings (my own included, I must admit) we hear a lot about self-love, but not so much about self-like. Now, if (most of) our parents had not taught us so proficiently about our imperfections, if (most of) our schools had not snuffed away the flame of individuality, coercing us into hating who we were as individuals in comparison to the crowd, if (most of) our lovers had not made such unreasonable demands on us and vice-versa, liking ourselves might be much easier. But look, darling, there is very little about your soft, generous, kind, maternal, generous, loving self not to like, so, what more can I say? Get with it.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
Be not deceived by appearances, whether appearances of good, of evil, of isolation, of deception or of ultimate truth. Be not intimidated by how great and mighty seem those human giants who now populate your life, and to whom in comparison you may feel like a little fluffy vulnerable kitten. Events, experiences and human contacts of this year and this summer are among the most important of your life thus far, and are designed for one and only purpose, which is to take you light years further along on the journey to the center of yourself. I will add this: as of now, nothing is written in stone, or even ink. All is possible.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
A while ago I was writing to you about that nonexistent dividing line between thought and feeling. Well, you're back in this mythological place, one of the major devices used by everything from psychotherapy to religion to medical science to cut people up. While all three of these peculiar institutions are allegedly designed to help folks, trust me when I say severing parts of ourselves off, or apart, is not healthy. A self cannot be divided. "Thought" and "feeling" are different aspects of the same thing. Anyway, what really matters now is what you value, and it sure looks like you're in for some exciting changes here.

LIBRA (Sep. 23-Oct. 22)
The heat is on, and it burns... so good. I can't imagine you've ever felt anything quite like this. For lack of a better word, I will call it power. Power as in the focused power of the mind, but not just the mind: the power of desire. As well as I can read these silly star charts, as well as I can tune to the messages of the ethers, I can say but this: focus on what you want. Even if you think that it or whoever is totally out of reach. Even if you wonder whether you'll ever have the strength to carry through. For while the theme of these weeks is power, in the next weeks it will be pure strength of conviction, such as you've never known.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Make no mistake about it: sexual, political or creative liberation, as well as all other forms of liberation (though there are not many others), are found first within yourself. One cannot be liberated from another; one can only be freed from the personal ideas and beliefs that hold us down. On all of the above topics, the scourge of reality, the very mortar that holds together the bricks of the prison walls, is a mixture of deadpan seriousness, fear and conformity. You are far more powerful over these things than you ever imagined. Remember, it's only a fool who plays it cool, by making his world a little colder.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21)
Dream: You are standing by the edge of the ocean, gazing out into infinity, and you feel infinitely small next to it. The water begins to rise, and touch your feet, and you now feel that you're connected to this ocean in some way, but that it's unimaginably different than you are; and then you pause and reflect on how pointless it seems to compare yourself to something so vast. But then there is a shift in reality, and as you look out, you see the sea as a reflection of yourself. You are the ocean. You have not noticed it rising, but the water is suddenly above your head, and you are now beneath the surface. You fear that if you inhale, you will drown, and then you have no choice; you need to breathe; so you inhale, expecting your life to end, and, to your amazement, discover that you can breathe water.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
My Capricorn friend Linda came up with this one. The next decade needs a name. Names like "eighties" and "nineties" won't work, because you can't say "zeroies." Since the British word for zero is "naught," she proposes: THE NAUGHTIES. I second the motion. It's not that people are so pure and good these days, but that so many of us are becoming the automated little droids spoken of in so many of the science fiction novels of this century, with television cameras for eyes, and televisions for friends, always watching but rarely participating in reality. Being naughty means getting involved. Naughtiness is soul food. The soul needs to eat. Bring on the Naughties! (For you, this very week.)

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Events of the coming hours and days are likely to set off a chain of events in your life over which you have exceedingly little control, and thank God for that. Aquarius is the sign of freedom, but buried deep within the Aquarian psyche is hidden a desire to conform to power and structure that is actually a relic from long gone days. You don't need to worry about outcomes. Indeed, to do so would be unwise, because your mind is not prepared to hold ideas large enough, or radical enough, to support the vaguest notion of what's in store for you as the current phase of your life unfolds. Rather, and this should be fairly easy, focus on ethos, the living inner spirit of all that's good, right and true in this world of which you are, for the moment, a barely part.

PISCES (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
So, my fellow fish children, I am sitting here at my computer, realizing it's time again to decide what kind of week I would like, and share it with you. Let's see. I'll start with some self-confidence, followed by a flood of desire that has finally liberated itself from the dreaded fear of desire unfulfilled. Add some clarity of vision, plus a brilliantly positive attitude that magnetizes all kinds of good things, which would double for luck, and while I don't believe in luck, I take all I can get. Add a tremendous feeling of security; of being at home anywhere, and knowing just who to ask for what I want, so that I'm most likely to hear the delicious, divine word Yes.

FOR THE FAITHFUL
This week, I must turn the microphone over to Jonathan Cainer <http://www.Cainer.com/>, quoting from his June 1 column in the London Daily Mail. "Compare and contrast the countless football [soccer] fans who now feel delighted because their team has won three major victories with the countless people whose lives are now in ruins because of war and intolerance. Do both groups really live, side by side, on the same tiny planet? There may never come a day when all people on this earth share the same values and priorities. There may though yet come a day when we at least decide that the best thing to support is not a team, a state, a nation or even a principle -- but an effort to understand and accept one another."
